Here are some of the homes that survived General Sherman's march to the sea, along with some built after the war.
Most
of the homes are white, but there was one particular one that was a
bright red. I did not get a picture of it, but somehow, I think that
there is a story behind it.
The first picture is a house that is being repaired. The third and fourth homes appear to be the same, but they are different homes. The pictures of the last house is our favorite.
As
mentioned previously, some of these homes are open to the public. A
goggle of the events in Washington, GA will have information on this.
