It is Easter and He is risen! And that is no April Fool's Joke.
The picture below illustrates the Gospel of Jesus Christ, which is of first importance to all who believe and is the means of salvation who do not.
The apostle Paul writes to us in I Corinthians 15:3-4, that,
"For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, ..."
The reason of the death of Jesus Christ was to provide the payment for our sins. God is a righteous God and there is a payment required for sin. Not only is God righteous, but He is a God of love, and as such, He provided the payment for us. It is our responsibility to accept His payment on our behalf, in order to have salvation.
This picture illustrates the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Last fall, Linda cut the plant down to the soil (death) and the pot was put in our garage for storage (burial), and recently, a shoot appeared and this is what we have (resurrection).
How cool it that?
