We went through about 3-4 months without many birds in our backyard, which has been unusual, even considering the time of year.

Yesterday and today have made up for it.  There have been at least 9 or 10 different birds and as many as 3 are new, not having been here previously.

I am going to post them in two installments.  The first three pictures are of the same male cardinal; the next is the cardinal sharing the bird feeder with a Brown Headed Cowbird followed by a 'portrait' of the Cowbird.  I think that I will call his, 'The Judge.'  The last picture is a female Cardinal.
